The East of England Deanery
Christian Perkins is an Anaesthetic Trainee in the East of England Deanery with a keen interest in day surgery, quality improvement, and perioperative care. His interest in day surgery developed after attending and presenting his work on fentanyl use in recovery at the 2026 British Association of Day Surgery Conference, where he was inspired by the innovation and collaborative spirit of the day surgery community.
As a member of the BADS Council, he is keen to contribute to advancing education, innovation, and best practice in day surgery while representing the perspectives of trainees and supporting the future of day surgery within the NHS.
Outside of work Christian enjoys running, playing squash and going hiking with his dog, Pinky.
