I am a Consultant Anaesthetist based at Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 2014.
As the lead for Guy’s Day Surgery Unit, has provided me with experience of working in multidisciplinary teams and providing constructive feedback to improve operational workflows. Leading a highly efficient unit in a tertiary referral centre has provided me the opportunity of being a part of projects which have improved patient quality of care in a safe environment, but the highlights of my tenure was setting up the Management Pathway for Patients with Suspected Sinonasal Malignancy or Aggressive: operating on the patient within 2 weeks of being reviewed by the surgeon in MDT & writing up the SOP for Day case patients without escort/carers: No one at home (NOAH).
I have a strong passion for patient safety, operational efficiency, and the enhancement of patient experience in high-volume, short-stay environments.
