Council - Taster Member
I qualified from Northumbria University in 2012 as an Adult Registered Nurse. Since then I have worked in various different Trusts within the surgical speciality.
I am keen in improving surgical processes to ensure a better patient experience and better working environment for staff. This has included being involved in projects to reduce length of stay and emotionally preparing patients for their procedures.
In my current role I am supporting day surgery initiatives in line with BADs and GIRFT recommendations and guidelines. I am keen in getting involved in research and changing practice to adapt to the ever-changing healthcare environment.
I have recently completed a Masters in Contemporary Nursing, as well as completing a qualification to become an Independent Prescriber.
