Dr Sumbul Naz is a Senior Oncoplastic Fellow at Royal Bolton Hospital with a specialist interest in breast surgery, oncoplastic surgery and ambulatory breast surgery. She has a strong interest in quality improvement, service development and optimising patient pathways to improve patient outcomes and experience.
She has contributed to the development of day-case breast surgery through service improvement initiatives within the NHS and has led a BADS-supported international project exploring the implementation of day-case breast surgery pathways in a tertiary care hospital in Pakistan. Her interests include multidisciplinary collaboration, patient centered pathway redesign and sharing best practice to support the wider adoption of safe day surgery.
Alongside her clinical practice, Dr Naz has been actively involved in clinical governance, teaching and the training of junior doctors. She is passionate about advancing day surgery through collaboration, education and innovation and is delighted to contribute to the work of the BADS Council.
