The Delivery Plan for Tackling the COVID-19 Backlog of Elective Care highlights the impact that long waits for planned care can have on the development of children and young people (CYP).
To help reduce the elective activity gap between CYP and adults, NHS England is launching a national drive to accelerate CYP recovery. A toolkit is now available, setting out actions for regions, systems and providers. Virtual roundtables are scheduled for June-July focussing on key themes, such as CYP outpatients, CYP waiting list validation, theatre productivity, evidence-based interventions, using data to drive recovery, dental and ENT.
We invite all stakeholders involved in elective recovery to join the launch webinar or one of the themed roundtables. More information is available on the CYP Elective Recovery FutureNHS page.
Roundtables will follow the launch event and will each focus on key topics:

- CYP elective recovery roundtable: ENT – 26 June
