The Future Surgery Show (FSS) teamed with the Acute & General Medicine (AGM), Cardiovascular Professional Care (CPC), and Anaesthesia and Critical Care (ACC) shows on November 14th and 15th this year, held at the London Excel exhibition centre. These regular, annual, co-located events are always a great opportunity for BADS to showcase their commitment to advancing the field of day surgery in the UK. Back
The event provides a unique platform for BADS to connect with professionals, exchange ideas and to contribute to the ongoing dialogue surrounding the future of surgical practices.
Working in collaboration with Closer Still Media (organisers of the show), BADS presented an exhibition stand, which provided a focal point for engagement, discussion and the promotion of day surgery as a safe, efficient and patient-centric approach to medical interventions. It is an invaluable networking platform which BADS uses to support and engage with multidisciplinary teams working in the day case setting. These interactions not only strengthen existing relationships but also pave the way for potential collaborations and bringing new members on board.
BADS were able to actively participate in the educational sessions by hosting seminars and panel discussions delving into real-life scenarios and best practice in day surgery. Designed to facilitate knowledge transfer amongst delegates they provided an opportunity to question the speakers and exchange ideas.
Prominent representatives from BADS Council participated in delivering excellent education that focused on the evolving role of day surgery in the broader context of healthcare delivery. The association received positive feedback from attendees and the event scientific organisers. It offered the opportunity for colleagues attending the stand to discuss day surgery, what membership brings to them and how BADS is committed to advancing the field of day surgery. By leveraging the educational sessions and being actively involved on the exhibition stand, BADS successfully reinforced their position as a key influencer in shaping the trajectory of day surgery in the UK.
