Abstracts Invited
We have arranged an interesting and varied programme of topics related to day surgery practice, including sessions on sustainability, health & safety in day surgery, human factors and robotic surgery. There will be sessions on introducing complex procedures to the day surgery unit, safe sedation and local anaesthetic protocols for a range of procedures. Workshop sessions will be held on fostering psychological safety in the workplace, regional anaesthesia and spinal day case surgery.
Accepted abstracts will be presented in free paper oral presentation sessions and a poster exhibition. The conference offers you the chance to hear from a number of expert speakers and to present your work to a national audience.
Abstracts are invited on any aspect of surgery or peri-operative care relevant to day-case surgery including case-reports, audits, original research, systematic reviews and meta-analyses. Abstracts in the fields of ambulatory emergency surgery and planned (elective) surgery are welcomed.
Abstracts will be peer-reviewed by a minimum of three reviewers. The highest scoring abstracts will be selected for oral free paper presentation with the top six scoring abstracts completing for a cash prize. Remaining accepted abstracts will be presented in poster format (printed A1 size).
